Medical Properties Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) (NYSE: MPW) today
announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of
the real estate of 11 rehabilitation facilities in Germany operated by
RHM Klinik- und Altenheimbetriebe GmbH & Co. KG (“RHM”).
As previously announced, the Company financed the acquisition with the
proceeds of the €200 million senior notes 2020 that were priced with a
5.75% coupon in October 2013. MPT will pay approximately €9.0 million in
transfer taxes in the fourth quarter of 2013 that will be classified as
acquisition costs.
